The introduction of the new Mercedes, which will be manufactured exclusively in Kecskemét, may be delayed.

The launch of the smaller Mercedes-Benz G-Class, known as Baby-G, has been delayed to spring 2028, with production exclusively in Hungary. Initially expected in 2027, the compact SUV will inherit the iconic design of the G-Class and will first be available as an all-electric model with dual motors and an 800-volt system. A hybrid version is also anticipated later. This new model aims to provide a more affordable alternative to the larger G-Class, with an estimated base price around half that of its predecessor, although official pricing has yet to be announced.
