Cuba. 40 organizations demand Portugal's vote against the embargo

Over 40 organizations urged the Portuguese government to support a UN resolution against the US economic blockade on Cuba. They condemned alleged US pressure on other nations to oppose the resolution. The letter emphasized Portugal's historical support for Cuba's resolutions at the UN. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez accused the US of unprecedented external pressures to influence voting. He presented evidence of US attempts to coerce countries into changing their votes. The upcoming UN debate will also address the energy blockade imposed by the US since January.
