Cyberattacks can paralyze services. There are new recommendations from the ministry.

The updated recommendations for internet service providers (ISPs) emphasize the need to enhance cybersecurity against DDoS attacks, which aim to disrupt online services. The document, prepared by the Ministry of Digital Affairs in collaboration with UKE and CSIRT NASK, outlines strategies to mitigate the impact of such cyber threats. It highlights the most severe types of DDoS attacks, including volumetric and protocol attacks, and advises ISPs to assess risks and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures. Operators are encouraged to invest in cybersecurity, establish response procedures, and regularly test their infrastructure. Additionally, they should adopt solutions to block suspicious traffic and ensure access to network management systems is strictly controlled.
