Is November 2nd a day off work?

On November 2, 2026, All Souls' Day will be observed in Poland, but it is not a statutory holiday, making it a regular working day for most employees. However, some schools may not hold classes that day, as directors can designate additional days off, known as director's days. Many schools have chosen November 2 for this purpose, resulting in a three-day weekend for students. The school calendar or electronic journal announcements can confirm if a school has a day off on this date. In November, there are two statutory holidays: All Saints' Day on November 1 (Sunday) and Independence Day on November 11 (Wednesday). December includes three statutory holidays: Christmas Eve on December 24, and Christmas Day on December 25 and 26, with an additional day off for the latter since it falls on a Saturday.
