Da oggi diritto alla riparazione. Obblighi per produttori tutele per consumatori
Starting today, the "right to repair" law comes into effect in Italy, promoting the repair of appliances and electronics. This initiative, aligned with EU directive 2024/1799, aims to reduce premature disposal of repairable goods and combat planned obsolescence. Manufacturers are now required to repair defective items, even beyond warranty periods, and provide consumers with detailed repair information. Repairs must be offered at reasonable prices or for free, and if repair is impossible, a refurbished product may be provided. Additionally, an online platform for repair services will be established by July 2027. This law is expected to significantly reduce waste and its associated environmental costs.
