Cattle will indeed be present at the year market in Sint-Lievens-Houtem this year: 1 cattle dealer is allowed to bring cows
This year, cattle are allowed at the Sint-Lievens-Houtem fair after a one-year ban due to IBR disease. One trader, the Baele family, received special permission from authorities. The municipality sought a solution to allow cattle while ensuring safety measures. Mayor Tim De Knyf noted that only one trader was viable for participation. Although the fair won't be as large as before, it will feature cows and an alternative program with acrobatics. Other farmers, unable to bring cattle, are invited to a lunch to discuss future events.
