In "La Gradiva", filmmaker Marine Atlan stages the volcano of adolescence in the streets of Naples

La Gradiva, directed by Marine Atlan, explores a high school class's trip to Naples, blending history with youthful desire. The film opens with a poetic connection between a train emerging from a tunnel and a close-up of a hungry eye, symbolizing new beginnings. Atlan, also the cinematographer, captures the students' vibrant experiences against the backdrop of historical sites like Vesuvius and Pompeii, led by their teacher, Mme Mercier. The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Critics' Week.
