In Lot, a training center for elite dogs of the gendarmerie

Aurore Imbert, a gendarme, begins her training with a malinois named Shadow at the CNICG in Gramat. The pairing ceremony marks their first meeting, and Aurore feels an instant connection. Over 25 military personnel are training with their new canine partners, who will soon join the gendarmerie's 485 dog teams. These teams have significantly aided investigations, recovering missing persons and seizing illegal substances and weapons. In 2025, they helped locate 530 missing individuals and assisted in various rescue operations, including avalanche rescues and detecting fire accelerants in burned areas.
