In the Massif Central, an intriguing swarm of over 700 microseisms
Residents in the Puy-de-Dôme region have reported unusual sensations, including rumblings and vibrations, over the past days. On October 21, various individuals noted experiences such as a loud boom and noticeable shaking. The mayor of Saint-Amant-Roche-Savine described feeling tremors in his home. This activity coincides with a series of micro-earthquakes near Ambert, where over 700 seismic events have been recorded, some strong enough to be felt by locals. Sismologist Nikolai Shapiro from ISTerre confirmed the ongoing seismic activity in the area.
