Health deterioration leading to work incapacity is a common cause of occupational stress. In response, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) offers a rehabilitation program covering costs up to 5,000 PLN per session, including treatment, accommodation, meals, and travel expenses. Over 30 years, more than 4 billion PLN has been spent on this initiative, primarily benefiting individuals aged 40 to 66, who face the highest rates of work-limiting conditions. Eligible conditions include musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory issues, psychosomatic disorders, voice disorders, complications from breast cancer treatment, and central nervous system damage. The program has shown effectiveness, with 54.9% of participants returning to work within a year. To enroll, a PR-4 application from a physician is required, which can be submitted in person or online.
