Evicted avoided? Lello available to keep Mesquita for another year
Lello is willing to extend the lease for the Hazrat Hamza mosque in Porto for one year, pending written approval from the city council. The Muslim community has until October 31 to respond, as the current lease ends that day. Without an agreement, they must vacate by November 2. Lello's letter states that the extension is contingent on a formal acceptance from both the mosque and the Porto municipality. The company previously announced plans to create a creative circuit in the area, leading to the decision not to renew the lease, which was originally formalized by the previous owner. The mosque has been in operation since November 1, 2011.
