Animal shelter Het Blauwe Kruis in Wommelgem is at risk of closing due to high costs: "Crowdfunding started"

The animal shelter Het Blauwe Kruis in Wommelgem faces temporary closure due to high wage and energy costs. They are raising funds through crowdfunding, needing 500,000 euros to survive. Currently, over 30 dogs and 30 cats are housed there. As of now, they have raised over 41,000 euros since starting the campaign. The shelter continues to facilitate adoptions and has contacted friendly shelters for assistance if closure occurs. They are also seeking more foster families.
