Animal caretaker at Beekse Bergen who was attacked by a panther has died
A female zookeeper was severely injured in an attack by two male Persian panthers at Beekse Bergen. She had nearly 40 years of experience and was hospitalized after sustaining neck and head injuries. The park expressed deep condolences and is focusing on supporting her family and colleagues. An investigation by the Dutch Labor Inspectorate is underway, and the exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear. The panthers will continue to be cared for according to existing guidelines, as they are still considered wild animals.
