Dirk Kuijt appointed as interim coach at Fenerbahçe after Kartal's departure

Fenerbahçe has announced that Dirk Kuijt will remain as interim head coach until a new coach is appointed. Kuijt, a former player for the club, takes over after Ismail Kartal's departure following a loss to Galatasaray. Previously an assistant coach, Kuijt has experience managing other teams and is the fifth Dutch coach in Fenerbahçe's history. The club currently ranks fifth in the Süper Lig, trailing leaders Galatasaray by six points.
