Good changes for taxpayers in PIT scale, bad in lump sum. The Sejm passed the amendment.
On October 22, the Polish Sejm approved significant amendments to the PIT tax scale, benefiting some taxpayers while disadvantaging others. The new regulations introduce a middle tax rate of 24% for incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN, while maintaining the 12% rate for those earning below 130,000 PLN and a 32% rate for higher incomes. However, approximately 43,000 entrepreneurs will lose their right to a flat tax due to a drastic reduction in the revenue threshold from 2 million euros to 250,000 euros. Additionally, a solidarity tax for high earners will increase from 4% to 5%. These changes are set to take effect on January 1, 2027, and are currently pending approval from the Senate.
