Dead wolf found on the hard shoulder of the E34 in Zoersel: Ben, Dutch wolf or wanderer?

A dead male wolf was found on the E34 highway in Zoersel. The animal is believed to have been hit by a vehicle, but an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death. The wolf's identity is uncertain; it could be Ben, a Dutch wolf, or a stray. Jan Loos from Welkom Wolf received multiple reports about the wolf and visited the scene. The wolf has been taken to a laboratory for examination, where DNA testing will help determine its identity. Previous autopsies in the Netherlands revealed that some wolves thought to have been hit were actually shot.
