Domański on the CIT tax increase: we are talking about really large companies
On Tuesday, the Senate amended a tax law introducing a new 24% PIT rate and a higher tax threshold, while reinstating a CIT increase for large companies. Finance Minister Andrzej Domański clarified that the CIT hike applies only to firms with revenues exceeding 50 million euros. He expressed confidence that the changes align with constitutional standards, despite criticism from Ryszard Petru, who argued that the Senate overstepped its authority. Domański warned that a potential veto from President Karol Nawrocki would negatively impact state finances and health fund revenues. The law also modifies tax brackets and introduces changes to flat-rate taxation, aiming to lower taxes for the middle class.
