Donald Trump added to international list of enemies of press freedom

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) accuses the U.S. president of misusing his power against media organizations he disapproves of. He filed a lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal over coverage related to Jeffrey Epstein and temporarily revoked access to journalists from Politico. In solidarity, other U.S. news outlets halted joint coverage of presidential events. RSF ranks the U.S. 64th out of 180 in press freedom, with the Netherlands at 2nd place. This year, Putin and Erdogan were also listed among those undermining independent journalism, alongside figures like Vincent Bolloré and Elon Musk.
