Three dead and twelve injured in crash of Italian army helicopter in Bosnia

An Italian CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed near Gorica, resulting in three fatalities and twelve injuries, all Italian nationals. The helicopter was part of the EUFOR operation in Bosnia and crashed during a routine flight. An investigation is underway, but the causes remain undisclosed. The Netherlands also participates in the EUFOR mission, with personnel contributions until at least December 31, 2027.
