Busiest evening rush hour of the year: over 1100 kilometers of traffic jams

Today marks the busiest evening rush hour of the year so far, with 1109 kilometers of traffic jams reported. The previous record was 1046 kilometers on May 13, linked to Ascension Day and holiday traffic. Rainy weather and early darkness are contributing factors, causing drivers to be more cautious and slower, leading to longer traffic jams. The worst delays are on the A2, A27, and A1. However, the peak has been reached, and traffic is expected to gradually improve by around 7 PM.
