At 5:30 PM, traffic congestion reached 1,109 kilometers, a record for this year. The usual bottlenecks experienced longer delays, attributed to rain and early darkness from the recent time change. While there were no significant accidents causing the jams, traffic was slow in many areas. The Randstad and Gelderland regions saw the most delays. An accident on the A28 towards Groningen and another on the A2 between Amsterdam and Utrecht contributed to the congestion.
