Two "Mothers for the Camp" detained in Porto
Two mothers involved in housing rights protests were among seven people detained during a police intervention in Praça D. João I. They were released shortly after. One mother, Célia Moreira, stated she refused to identify herself to authorities, leading to her arrest for disobedience. She described the police treatment as calm and expressed concern over the state of democracy. Another mother was hospitalized due to anxiety, not physical injuries. The mothers emphasized their role in advocating for their children's future and their own rights amidst the protests.
