Durán without immediate suspension may face Gil Vicente

Colombian forward Jhon Durán may play for Benfica in the League Cup after the Disciplinary Council opened a disciplinary process without immediate suspension. Durán, along with Brazilian forward Fernando, was expelled following a match against Santa Clara. Benfica's coach Marco Silva defended Durán, stating he did not do anything wrong. The Disciplinary Council also initiated proceedings against Benfica's general director, Mário Branco, who received a 20-day suspension.
