Big change for children on the internet. There is a draft law.

A draft law aimed at setting a minimum age of 15 for access to social media platforms has been included in the legislative agenda of the Polish government. The regulation, developed by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of National Education, seeks to verify users' ages through a digital identity wallet while ensuring privacy. Additionally, the proposal includes integrating digital hygiene education into school curricula to address issues like screen addiction and online safety. The authors highlight that many children under 13 are using social media despite age restrictions, raising concerns about their well-being. The project is expected to be adopted by the government in early 2027.
