It is "increasingly difficult" to live in Vila Real

Around a hundred people gathered in Vila Real to highlight the increasing difficulty of accessing housing for families and students. The protest, organized by the collective "Não dá mais para viver assim," featured improvised signs expressing the urgent need for affordable housing. Participants shared personal stories about the challenges of rising rents and the impact on young people's ability to establish independent lives. Concerns were raised about the economic crisis affecting housing, food costs, and transportation. The assembly called for measures to recover vacant properties for affordable housing, limit rent increases, and enhance solidarity within the community. New actions for advocacy were planned following this event.
