EDP buys EDP Renewables Brazil for 990 million euros

EDP has completed the acquisition of 100% of EDP Renováveis Brasil for €990 million, as announced in a statement to the CMVM. The final price reflects an upward adjustment due to capital contributions made by EDP Renováveis in its Brazilian subsidiary. The enterprise value of the transaction was €1.6 billion. This acquisition, initially announced in May, was executed through EDP - Energias do Brasil, fully owned by the Portuguese group. EDP stated that this move will enhance its electricity production, trading, and supply activities in Brazil, improving operational efficiency and aligning with its 2026-2028 Business Plan.
