EDP completes acquisition of EDP Renewables Brazil for 990 ME

EDP has completed the acquisition of 100% of EDP Renováveis Brasil for 990 million euros, as announced in a statement to the CMVM. The final price reflects an upward adjustment due to capital contributions made by EDP Renováveis in Brazil. The enterprise value of the transaction was 1.6 billion euros. This acquisition, initially announced in May, allows EDP to integrate electricity production, trading, and supply activities in Brazil, enhancing competitiveness and risk management in the market. The move aligns with the group's operational and financial efficiency goals and its Business Plan for 2026-2028.
