Gruevsky was photographed in a Budapest restaurant, where Orbán's people protected him from international arrest.
Nikola Gruevski, the former North Macedonian Prime Minister wanted internationally, was spotted in a Budapest restaurant. He has been living in Hungary as a refugee since being smuggled out in 2018. Gruevski was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for embezzlement and abuse of power, but Hungary has repeatedly denied his extradition. Former MP Ákos Hadházy shared the photos and expressed hope that the Hungarian government has simply forgotten about Gruevski, suggesting that revoking his political asylum could facilitate accountability in North Macedonia.
