All's well that ends well: shark that had been stuck for a month in South Korean canal freed
Bukang-i, a female blacktip shark, has successfully returned to the open sea after being trapped in a Busan canal for over a month. The shark became a tourist attraction, drawing 1.7 million visitors, but experts were concerned for her health due to lack of food and declining water temperatures. After two unsuccessful rescue attempts, a third operation involved a floating platform and workers using paddles to guide her. This time, the rescue was successful, and Bukang-i swam towards the sea, with additional nets installed to prevent her from returning to the canal.
