The CEO of Iryo warned more than twenty days ago that the LZB failures were immobilizing their trains

The CEO of Iryo, Fabricio Favara, warned over three weeks ago about issues with the LZB signaling system that immobilized their trains. During a Senate investigation into a previous accident in Adamuz, he explained that the LZB system, while safe, is outdated and causes trains to stop when disconnected from ground signals. Favara stated that reconnection takes considerable time, impacting service resumption. He clarified that train drivers must report any issues affecting train movement to Adif's Traffic Regulation Center. This aligns with a recently leaked audio where an Iryo driver reported being unable to reconnect to the LZB system, preventing the train from moving.
