Ayuso's Government fails to find a buyer for the Chamberí penthouse for the second time
The auction for a controversial penthouse in Chamberí, purchased by the Madrid government for €6.3 million, has failed for the second time, leaving the property unsold. Initially intended for President Isabel Díaz Ayuso's use during renovations, the property has faced scrutiny since its acquisition. The public company Planifica Madrid bought the penthouse and set a minimum sale price higher than its purchase cost. Following the unsuccessful auction, the property will now be available for permanent sale. Questions remain regarding the purchase decision and its justification, leading to investigations by political parties and the Court of Auditors.
