The judge orders the arrest of Vito Quiles in the case for denigrating a woman with a disability
A judge has ordered the search and arrest of Vito Quiles to notify him of the opening of a trial for denigrating a woman with intellectual disabilities. The victim's collective, Libres y Combativas, reported that Quiles has been untraceable for notification. The prosecution seeks two years in prison for Quiles and one and a half years for Javier Negre for offenses against the victim's dignity. The judge's order includes the search, detention, and presentation of Quiles to notify him of the charges and then release him immediately. This follows a complaint regarding an interview Quiles conducted during a protest in March 2024, which was aired on EDATV. The collective emphasized that Quiles remains unpunished seven months after the trial's opening and suggested he might be found in Bilbao, where protests against his rhetoric are occurring.
