Judge Pedraz demands the PSOE "without further delay" the information he requested regarding the 'Cloacas case'

The National Court judge Santiago Pedraz has ordered the PSOE to provide documentation regarding legal and consulting services contracted from 2021 to 2025 within 15 days. The PSOE claimed that the information was protected by professional secrecy and that gathering it was laborious due to election preparations. However, the judge emphasized that the party must identify specific documents affected by this secrecy and cannot delay compliance based on internal circumstances. He clarified that the obligation to provide documentation excludes information protected by professional secrecy but includes contracts and evidence of actual work performed by the lawyers involved. Pedraz asserted that he alone directs the investigation and that the PSOE's claims do not justify non-compliance with judicial requests.
