The company confirmed the layoffs, citing necessary adjustments to business conditions, and pledged support for affected employees. Recently, SK On Hungary faced significant fines for serious safety violations and environmental issues. The company, part of SK Innovation, operates a battery manufacturing facility in Komárom and is expanding its Iváncsa plant, which is set to begin mass production in May 2024.
