Electronic Arts cuts 400 jobs and closes studio behind 'Dragon Age' and 'Mass Effect'

Electronic Arts (EA) is set to cut around 400 jobs, including the closure of BioWare, known for 'Dragon Age' and 'Mass Effect'. This represents about 3% of EA's workforce, with approximately 50 positions affected at BioWare. The development of the next 'Mass Effect' game will also be halted. EA stated it is making strategic choices to align talent and investments with growth opportunities. The company will continue to invest in its sports titles, 'Apex Legends', and other franchises.
