This initiative is a collaboration between the Confrérie van de Vaantjesboer and journalist Luc Vandenbroucke, who researched old newspapers for interesting snippets from 1830 to 1935. Each day presents a unique piece of history alongside a local dialect phrase, enhancing the cultural experience. Vandenbroucke meticulously selected content to fit the calendar format, ensuring it remains engaging for users. The dialect expressions add a fun element, with examples illustrating local sayings.
