"It is conceivable that there are only 130,000 of us now" – the Hungarian community in Vojvodina faces another election.
A newly formed party aims to participate in the upcoming elections for the Hungarian National Council in Serbia, supporting student movements. Following a significant political shift in Serbia, the party seeks to renew representation for the Hungarian community in Vojvodina, moving away from the previous autocratic leadership. The group, initially a civic movement, has established a twelve-member coordination body and transitioned into an official civil organization to enhance electoral participation. The Hungarian government has shown openness towards them, inviting them as the first foreign delegation to the Parliament.
