Gergely Karácsony criticized district mayors on Facebook after a meeting of the Budapest Municipalities Association, claiming they left early to appear on TV. Two mayors denied his claims, stating they did not demand a meeting. Karácsony mentioned important decisions made during the meeting, including rejecting political opposition between the capital and districts. András Pikó, the mayor of Józsefváros, responded, asserting he did not say Karácsony should not talk to them and criticized the mayor's handling of financial decisions affecting districts. Tamás Soproni, the mayor of VI. district, also commented, questioning the authenticity of Karácsony's statements.
