The arrest of two suspects in the ventilator business has been ordered
The Győr District Court has ordered the detention of two individuals linked to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' ventilator procurement in 2020. The female suspect managed the accounting for the company network, while the male suspect withdrew illicit funds in cash from a foreign company's bank account. Both are considered flight risks and potential evidence tamperers. They are believed to be part of a criminal organization that laundered over 3 billion HUF from sales of ventilators and masks to the state, evading 660 million HUF in taxes. One leader, Gábor Kósa, has been arrested in Austria, while another, Bálint Májer, is wanted internationally and may be in Indonesia. Authorities seized 1.5 billion HUF during coordinated raids on October 27, detaining two suspects.
