World War I bombs are being uncovered from melting glaciers in Italy

The Italian army has discovered a significant number of World War I bombs in the Dolomites, including artillery shells and grenades. These munitions, mostly remnants from battles between Italian and Austro-Hungarian forces between 1915 and 1918, were found as glaciers melt. Reports from hikers led to the search, resulting in nearly 250 explosive devices being located. The melting glaciers, attributed to global warming, have been revealing these dangerous remnants for about a decade. Experts warn hikers not to touch any found explosives and to report them to authorities immediately.
