EMB 14.00 Ziggo attracts customers again after years, but retains less from them

VodafoneZiggo reported a customer increase of 11,800 internet users and 30,700 mobile subscribers in Q3, marking the strongest growth since 2019. Revenue rose by 1.4% to over 1 billion euros, though the impact of price hikes versus new customers remains unclear. The company is investing heavily in advertising and services, leading to increased costs, including a 29 million euro rise in expenses compared to last year. To improve efficiency, VodafoneZiggo plans to reduce customer incentives and implement a new office attendance policy. ESPN channels saw a significant viewer increase, with operational profit down 6.9% year-on-year, but the company anticipates improved profitability next year.
