In Albania, the Prime Minister wants to tighten crowd management after violent protests
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama plans to tighten protest laws inspired by the French model, amid ongoing demonstrations calling for his resignation. Individuals involved in violent protests could face fines exceeding 500 euros. The police will have the authority to restrict gatherings for up to 72 hours in areas deemed at risk of violence. The proposed legislation also includes immediate compensation for small businesses affected by protests and penalties for those organizing minors' participation in demonstrations. Protests have escalated since May, with recent clashes in Tirana resulting in multiple arrests.
