In Bosnia and Herzegovina, four dead and twelve injured in the crash of a European Force helicopter

An Italian helicopter from the European Force (Eufor) crashed in Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on October 29, resulting in four fatalities and twelve injuries. The Eufor confirmed the incident involved a CH-47 Nook helicopter during a routine operation, with no civilian casualties reported. The local health center indicated that three individuals died at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to injuries later. Eufor urged the public to refrain from speculating about the victims' identities. Emergency services responded promptly, but weather conditions hindered helicopter transport for the injured. EU foreign affairs representative Kaja Kallas and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed condolences and emphasized the importance of Eufor's peacekeeping mission in the region.
