LIVE, Midterms 2026: Donald Trump in Ohio, Barack Obama in Atlanta, investigation opened against a Democratic candidate in Alaska... the latest news update

The upcoming midterm elections in the U.S. are marked by significant campaigning from both Donald Trump and Barack Obama. Trump held a rally in Ohio supporting Republican candidates, while Obama campaigned for a Democratic senator in Georgia. An investigation has been launched against Democratic candidate Mary Peltola in Alaska for alleged electoral misconduct. The potential outcomes of the elections could shift control of Congress, allowing Democrats to challenge Trump's administration more effectively. However, Trump retains veto power, complicating legislative processes. The elections are seen as a critical moment for both parties, with Democrats aiming to gain seats in traditionally Republican states.
