In Greece, the youth wants to follow the French example by mobilizing against their precariousness and the degraded state of public education
On October 21, 20,000 people protested in Greece against the decline of public education and lack of funding for youth. Demonstrators used French slogans to express their solidarity with a broader European movement. Students highlighted issues such as inadequate government investment in universities and skyrocketing housing costs, which have risen over 115% in Athens in the past decade. Many students are forced to abandon their studies due to high rents, exacerbating their financial struggles in a country with a minimum wage of 920 euros per month.
