In Ukraine, the difficult reconstruction of war orphans: "We don't talk to him about the death of his parents. We wait for him to ask questions"
Margaryta, a 7-year-old girl from Mariupol, survived a bombing that killed her father and brother. After being evacuated with her mother, they faced a long journey through Ukraine, eventually reuniting in Kyiv. They received support from Gen.Ukrainian, an organization helping traumatized children. The war has left thousands of orphans, with many initiatives emerging to support them, including public orphanages and private organizations. The situation remains dire, with many children still unaccounted for in occupied territories.
