Meeting in Portugal discusses academic mobility that benefits Brazilians
The creation of an academic mobility space between Europe and Latin America has been discussed since 2013 and is being revisited at the VII Academic Summit in Portugal. The initiative aims to facilitate the movement of around 52 million students and 4.5 million educators. Miguel Copetto, the event coordinator, highlights challenges such as the need for common rules for diploma recognition and accreditation. The summit will feature diplomats and politicians, aiming to present proposals to governments for practical implementation. The event will conclude with the 'Declaration of Maia', summarizing the summit's findings and recommendations.
