Endesa boosts its profit by 15% thanks to the electricity networks and criticizes the Government's data center decree

Endesa reports a profit of €1.962 billion for the first nine months of the year, a 15% increase compared to last year. The company attributes this growth to its regulated activities, particularly electricity distribution, which now contributes nearly half of its EBITDA. Endesa has increased its investments by 19%, focusing heavily on electrical infrastructure. Regulatory changes have also favored the company, including increased investment limits for networks and the extension of the Almaraz plant's operation. However, Endesa expresses concerns over stringent regulations for data centers, urging for a more balanced approach to maintain Spain's competitive edge.
