Specialist nurses will monitor low-risk pregnant women in a pilot project
Specialist nurses will monitor low-risk pregnancies in primary healthcare as part of a pilot project regulated by a new decree. This initiative aims to address the shortage of general practitioners and ensure timely prenatal care. Nurses will be able to follow clinical protocols, request diagnostic tests, and provide preventive interventions. The program emphasizes early monitoring, starting ideally by nine weeks of gestation, and includes risk assessments throughout the pregnancy. If complications arise, patients will be referred to appropriate care levels. The project will be evaluated after one year to assess its effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
