Lease agreement for new Club Brugge stadium is delayed by a month, but no impact on start of construction

The lease agreement between the city of Bruges and Club Brugge will be presented to the city council next month, delaying the process by a month. However, preliminary works can commence without the agreement, and the actual construction start has been postponed to early 2027. Mayor Dirk De fauw stated that some details are still being finalized, but preliminary tasks like archaeological and stability assessments can begin. The lease agreement is the final step needed for the new stadium's construction, with the necessary permit already approved since July.
